When you are visiting Park City, Utah you will have a lot of choices of activities to do.  While the area is known for its skiing and snowboarding, there is a lot more that is available for you to partake induring your visit to the area. 

While you may head to the slopes to hit the trails and do some skiing, you can also go snowmobiling on the trails, sleigh rides, or even head out snow tubing.  Even in the winter you can find a hot air balloon to take you up and enjoy the white, frozen landscape. If you are more adventurous, you can find a company to take you heli-skiing.  If you prefer to watch the athletes instead of being on the snow yourself, the Deer Valley Resorts holds the FIS Freestyle World Cup every year which is the most prestigious free ski

Park City is best known for skiing, not sushi. However, that may soon change. Two of the best contemporary Asian restaurants I've ever set foot in are located in Utah's glitzy ski town. One is new; the other has been around a while. Both are well worth an excursion to Park City.

The new kid on the block is Sushi Blue (1571 W. Redstone Center Drive, Park City, 435-575-4272,, Bill White's newest eatery. It's located in Kimball Junction's Redstone Center, in the space that used to house Hapa Grill. Home sales with the Promontory area have been active all summer long offering great pricing on private golf homes. In the last 6 months alone there have been 16 closed sales on single family homes under 2 Million within the area with an average sales price of $326/sq ft. A number of these sales have been the cabins which are located in close proximity to the clubhouse and other popular amenities. The days on market have also averaged at 100 DOM with many of these falling under the 90 day mark. 

Two homes have hit the market this week that are priced aggressively and will likely sell before our winter season begins to finish off this hot summer of sales in the area.

The Park City real estate market has been very active as of late and we are seeing some significant improvement in the marketplace. Inventory is back to 2007 levels, pricing seems to have stabilized with the clearing of distressed inventory, and multiple offer situations are becoming more prevalent. Many buyers visiting the area have a limited amount of inventory to choose from with the summer winding down and winter fast approaching. 

Demand: Pended Sales

If you take a look at the graph below you can see that the pended sales are as high as they were previously in 2007. The end of 2011 was especially slow for the Park City market but halfway through the 1st quarter activity really started to increase throughout the area. These figures put us up 18.8%
